Canada Government extended international travel restrictions
International travel restrictions have been extended until June 21, 2021. Also, Canada/US border non-essential travel restrictions extended. Canada imposed travel restrictions to non-essential international travel and closed the US border during March 2020, since then both, international and US restrictions have been in place for 15 months now.
Travelers can only cross the border for “humanitarian and compassionate reasons,” such as attending a funeral or applying for refugee status.
The travel restrictions are only in place for non-essential travel, such as for entertainment, shopping, or tourism.
Individuals who are exempt from the travel restrictions:
Permanent residents, and their family members.
Temporary foreign workers
